Property Handover Guidelines
As your property transitions to rental status, it’s crucial to ensure a seamless handover process. Here’s a concise guide outlining the essential steps to prepare your home for its new occupants:
- Utilities: Keep all utilities active until lease signing. Inform providers of the upcoming rental status to avoid disruption.
- Key Surrender: Upon vacating the property, surrender all keys to On The Mark for lock replacement. We operate a specific key system requiring in-house service.
- Remote Devices: Turn in all garage door remotes and HOA gate remotes to On The Mark.
- Pool Access: For community pool access, transfer relevant keys or cards to On The Mark.
- Service Contracts: Provide details of service contracts or home warranties to ensure timely maintenance. Ensure On The Mark is authorized for warranty service.
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Prioritize a thorough “Hotel Ready” cleaning. Professional cleaning services are recommended.
- Personal Property: Remove all personal belongings from the premises, including furniture, tools, and outdoor equipment.
